Verizon
Fios fiber and 5G fixed wireless internet for US businesses
Verizon sells two small business connections in the US: Fios fiber with near-equal upload and download, and 5G Business Internet, a fixed wireless service that runs over its 5G network. Fios starts at $69 a month for 300/300 Mbps, or $64 with Auto Pay and paper-free billing, on a 2-year term with a $49 activation fee and a 1-year price guarantee; going month-to-month adds $10 a month. 5G Business Internet is $65 a month for up to 100 Mbps download with a 10-year price guarantee and self-setup, or $35 when paired with a Verizon business smartphone plan, but upload is lower than download and speeds drop when the network is busy. Fios suits an office, shop or restaurant inside its limited footprint, mostly East Coast cities, that sends large files or runs video calls, and 5G suits a site that needs quick setup or a backup line. A business outside both footprints, or one that needs a guaranteed speed with a service-level agreement, should look at cable, a local fiber provider or a dedicated line.
Cost at your size
Verizon Business Internet costs $64 a month whatever the team size.
Verizon Business Internet costs $6.50 more than the median business internet tool for one seat ($57.50).
Verizon Business Internet pays for itself if it saves 2 hours a month at $30 an hour, our assumption.
